Customer called with a complaint about her Frigidaire washer model # FAFS4272LW0 not completing cycles. Washer would not go into spin or wash cycles. Frigidaire front load washers all have saved error codes stored in the main control board. These codes are a record of the fallers the machine has experienced in the past. To view these codes press and hold the start button and cancel buttons at the same time.
This machine had the error code E-31 pressure switch faller code. After inspecting the wiring and electrical connection at pressure switch and control, I then ohmed out the harness, All components tested ok. The next step was to make sure the air trap was not clogged and the pressure hose did not have a hole of some kind. I found no defects in any of the items listed above. Looks like its time for a new electronic pressure switch.
The switch was replaced and the machine was back in working order.
